Dr Garcia-Roberts qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in Brazil and attained her Masters and Doctorate Degress (MSc & PsychD) in the UK. She trained at St.George's Medical School and the Maudsley Hospital in London, and more recently at the Beck Institute, Philadelphia, USA.
Career
Dr Garcia-Roberts has experience of EMDR and Trauma at OCTC. She had an active role in research on childhood attachment and adoption at the South-West London & Haringey Child & Adolescent NHS and Social Services. She joined Dorset Healthcare NHS Trust in 2002 where she established one of the first IAPT Services in the UK in 2008 and remained in a clinical lead role until 2013.
Professional Achievements
Dr Garcia-Roberts holds an active role linked to the Exeter University in the selection panel and supervision of doctoral clinical psychology trainees . She has been involved in various service development projects throughout her career and trained in Leadership Skills at the Said Oxford Business School.
